My Name is Gareth Fuller; I love playing with new technology and being on the forefront of what I consider to be the most exciting industry in the world. I have been working in the web for the last nine years, and year on year I have found new and exciting challenges to overcome. I am currently open to freelance opportunities and operating within the EU (but no specific country) I am only able to work 100% remote.
I am a Front End developer well versed in all the latest Frameworks and technologies, including:
At Clark taught myself Swift and have built many iOS apps. I am currently also the iOS Developer at Clark maintaining the native shell side of the native app and all of its bridging functionality. I also use these new skills on my personal project “Ruckus” which has watch support and will soon have ARkit support.

At Crytek the standard of my code rose due to high quality colleagues and extensive code reviews. I got comfortable with the workflow of developing Hybrid applications. I had much more exposure to more sysadmin type operations due to the complex infrastructure with every service running in a docker container.

Node JS with Loopback Framework
Libraries like Async / lodash

At Jagex Games Studio I was working as a Front End Developer on the Transformers Universe website. I was focused more on a JavaScript route with research and advancements in node, angular and other less known frameworks like famo.us.

I enjoyed my time at Honest and worked with some great technology: almost all of the sites I built during my time there were responsive. I also developed an App for both IOS and Android using PhoneGap. The App developed had a rails back end and I used backbone for the front end communications with the rails API.

Gareth is an inspiration to me for Front-end development. As far as Front-end development is concerned he has been a true mentor to me and I have learnt a lot from him. He is an excellent developer/teacher/mentor. The most amazing thing about Gareth is his speed to deliver a product/feature while maintaining high quality.
He loves to research new technologies and I am truly impressed by his ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them practically. Particularly he learnt IOS development in a short period of time and now I regard him as an IOS Guru ;). Any one would be lucky to have Gareth working on there team or as we call him G’Dog! 😀

Gareth and I worked together at Clark.de, where I was a backend developer, and he was the Front-end mate I searched for all my projects. Work with Gareth was easy and usually resulted in the best results. In the fast pace environment we worked, he was always delivering, so much that at the demos we did every week (with features from the entire team), there was always this reserved part we called “the Gareth’s show.”
But for me, the most amazing is that, even though he was senior to me at the company, and I focused on the backend, he would always listen to what I had to say about front-end, consider carefully and act on it. As a friend, he was an excellent source o feedback when I needed to gauge my relationship with other members of the team. I would pick him to team up again any project, anytime.

Working with Gareth as Senior Product Manager at Clark, he constantly impresses me with his outstanding ownership and execution to create value for our customers. Gareth is passionate about good user experience and getting a valuable feature right for the customer. In the process, he takes end-to-end ownership and strikes the right balance between speed and quality. Given his expertise he is a natural mentor for junior developers and uses pairing, trainings and discussions to make his colleagues better. Being a driven learner.
Gareth constantly provides valuable insights on new frameworks and technology to further improve our product, e.g. he self-studied iOS development and quickly owned this area. He is very open-minded and fosters collaboration across the organisation by organising company-wide sport events.
In brief: Gareth is a valuable colleague who immediately makes a difference and improves everyone he works with.
